Am tempted to switch from idnet to sky, well sky tv and get the broadband for £5. Local exchange is not LLU, just ADSL Max.

My media centre is broken, sky box is desperate need of replacement, so to save all the hassle, was thinking about sky+, with broadband for an extra fiver a month. Cost difference is about the same.

I know sky started off with a poor reputation for its broadband, has it improved? Anyone with sky, any problems? Reliable service? Good speeds?

Thanks

I'm on the £10 p/m unlimited package & my exchange is LLU.

Cant praise it enough to be honest. I migrated from UKFSN 14 months ago.

It went very smoothly, everything was on time and Ive never had to ring support once.

However on the support side of things, I do hear a few horror stories but for the cost you shouldn't expect miracles on that side of things.

I download what I want, when I want. Ping times are low and it just works..!!

same here.....cant fault them so far.

got the same broadband as well (£10 a month)

Thanks for the replies. Am now tempted by their HD offer, and the broadband on top for £5. Unfortunatly don't have LLU.

Good question about the router, be interested to hear what they provide. Is it possible to use your own?

From what I've seen, they send out Netgear DG834G's. Which are good routers.

I think they load their own firmware though, I can't remember 100% though.

Ah sorry. Just realised as my exchange isn't LLU, would have to pay £17 for their broadband, not £5. Gonna stick with IDNet.

Thanks for the replies.
