Anyone using the MS Deployment Workbench?

Hi all,

Anyone using the MS Deployment Workbench? for creating and deploying Windows 7 images?

Just interested to know how you use it?

I have just installed it and added the operating system Win764 but have also build a PC using Windows 7. I think I can now create a PE disk in the Deployment workbench and image the build onto the Deployment server?

Is this correct?

The author goes through the whole process of deploying Vista from start to finish. It is very informative and while it is split up into many parts, it is very easy to follow.

Once you have gone through that, you will want to read his latest articles: Windows 7 Deployment

The author has written the second set of articles on the assumption you are familiar with his Vista Deployment. As he says, the Windows 7 Deployment stuff just goes over what has changed between Vista and Windows 7. All in all it is a very worthwhile read.
