Feel free to call me an idiot. I was stopping at a hotel a few nights back, foolishly i left my Pda holder mount to the windscreen, i removed the pda mount and pda and dropped it into the boot.

Lo and behold morning arrives and i have no front passengers window, and my car has been thoroughly violated, all me stuff has gone out the boot (inc my logitech dinovo keyboard set and 200 blank cd's).

Unfortunately my company car insurance doesnt cover me for any personal effects, tahnkfully my laptop was with me in the hotel.

So my plan is to get a Tomtom mobile instead, that way i wont have any tell tale mounts etc to worry about, so basically im wondering if anyone uses tomtom mobile, how does it compare to the pda version, im planning to get either the Nokia n70 or 80 to use it on.

Any opinions welcomed!

Im looking for a phone really, i have gone back to a paper based organiser.

So what phones would be good, i see the sony p910`s are reasonably priced now, looking for something reasonably compact ala my w800i.

How does using it on a mobile absolve you of needing something to mount it on, what are you gonna do, have it in your pocket?

Well i can have a smaller more discreet mount for the phone, rather than a big bulky one stuck to the windscreen, my problem is that sometimes you just dont have the space to take the whole thing out and take it with you, so you end up whacking it in the glovebox/boot.

We can all agree that a phone is easier to mount than a pda, and also easier to put in pocket!
