Looking at putting a decent Wireless AP in the house as my current re-purposed DSL router is dying a death.
Looking at the prices of the Unifi BGN 2.4GHz models and they seem more than reasonable compared to the cost of a boggo standard off the shelf consumer piece of kit.
Would like to know:
What range is like
Performance
Once provisioned via software, does the software always need to run in the background or can they work standalone once configured?
Does anyone suggest something different that is not going to die like most consumer grade kits tends to?
