Hi all, i've never really come across the vpro technologies until recently, but i'm wondering how many people are using this technology? The idea of redirect ide etc all looks great, and for a remote power on patch, repair os side of things it looks great. But i'm guessing there is a price premium for the vpro boards, and also the initial outlay of alteris or similar solution.....
Would be nice to hear your toughts on the subject. Are there other technologies like this? kvm via IP would rely on far too much new hardware ii guess. The idea of a fully remote manageable client is interesting, are there any large limitations?
