Anyone using Zen Load Balancer?

I've been using it locally in a VM over the last few days as part of a development project. Really impressed though, seems very lightweight with just the right level of features. Has anybody used it in production environments? Any comments about reliability and how it handles loads, the kind of hardware spec you're using it on?

Yes, using it very heavily - been using it since it was in version 1 so it's come on a long way.

I would have to say it is the best load balancer appliance out there by far when you take it's cost into account (its free)

Have it running the load balancing for a Microsoft Exchange 2010 Server cluster using a DAG. Some 500 mailboxes in use, a mix of internal MAPI users and external users using Outlook Anywhere/Iphones/OWA and it works flawlessly.

Thanks wasc, that's good to hear.

Droyden, have you seen this? It would suggest you can get away with some pretty basic hardware. Those Atom chips don't exactly have much poke.

Aha I saw there was an appliance when I saw your thread but didnt check out the hardware specs, interesting for sure I'll be taking a look at it soon
