I'm just amazed by it all, just as ETA finally hang up their guns, it's properly kicking off over there. The central government have sent in 1000s of riot police to seize control of as much of the voting stations as they can. Could descend back into and much worse violent "troubles" as a result.

They should have let them have their vote with safe guards to stop vote rigging on both sides. They really have made a mess of it, looks like a lot of trouble with be triggered.

In Sunderland and Newcastle they have uni students running for the ballot boxes to get the first count in, in Spain they just use the police.

The firmly anti-EU ANO party in the Czech Republic are now in the lead in the forthcoming elections, The EU must be twitching as the whole thing is simply slowly being unwound.
All over Europe things are turning round, might take a few years but the EU is finished.

I am somewhat amiss as to why there was such opposition to a non-binding referendum in the first place. It at least lets you the situation and the % you are dealing with going forward.

Declaring independence and actually being independent are very different things.
