Ok so my Mum took over a B&B last year, and the existing website was awful. Tables/scrolling frames/flashing .gif's all over the place etc. I knocked up something in a day or so, nothing special but it was a big improvement over what was there and helped no end on the search engines.

They've had loads of good comments about the website with guests saying it's what's made them stand out above other B&B's in the area, so although the site's quite basic my Mum isn't too fussed about changing it.

However i'm hopeless at the actual image side of things and looking back I think the banner is a bit too simple.

Would appreciate it if any of the OCUK image guru's could lend a hand? :p

Website in question is http://maplelodge-skegness.co.uk/ :)

Honestly mate, I wouldn't change the header at all.

It fits in well with the deisgn of the site, it is clear and clean and shows more images of the B&B.

When I have more time I will browse the rest of the site as well if you want any criticism but tbh, I don't think you will get any :)

Nice site.

if you can get a better res version of that image, it's fine. There are some horrible compression artifacts on it.

Make the background colour white, current colour is awful, lose the drop shadow on the maple leaf and turn it the right way up and it'll look 100% better.

Please change this...

Bedroom Facilities

* En-suite with showers
* Colour TV
* Tea/coffee making facilities
* All towels and soap provided
* Linen sheets
* Two pillows per head

Agreed.

Take the current maple leaf away and replace it with an actual leaf and not a Desktop Published one perhaps.
