Anyone want to make a few quid?

I've got a series of .xls files that I need to analyse and need a macro (or similar) to process them. There are hundereds of values in each file but I need it to cut some out and give me the values in a separate spreadsheet.

In column 'A' of the .xls there is some header information then it runs from 1 to about 300 with the data I'm after in column 'D'. After the end of one section in column A there is a break, some heading the it runs from 1 to 300 with companion data in D again. There are many of these in each .xls. Once the data is located (I always need values from D while A is running from 59-79) I then need to shunt it into a .csv as the mean of the values found the maximum found and the sum of all values found.

I haven't played with macros in so long and I can't be bothered to relearn. If someone thinks they can write it for me I'd be happy to pay them (paypal okay?), fee negotiable

Have a play with the Data | Subtotals feature. It may be exactly what you're looking for.

Thanks for the suggestion but sadly not. The subtotal function would require me to churn through about 80 different sections and select each one manually then cut and paste to a new spreadsheet. This would take approximately one and a half hours that I'd rather not lose and may have to do again in the future.
