Morning all,

Just recieved this scam email. I've decided I'm going to play along and see where it goes. I am obviously not going to give any details. Just courios.

So this was the email:

Good Day,

I hope my email meets you well. I am in need of your assistance. My name is Sgt Williams Baker, Jr. I am in the Engineering military unit here in Ba'qubah in Iraq,we have about $20 Million US dollars that we want to move out of the country. My partners and I need a good partner someone we can trust. It is oil money and legal.

We have made arrangements with a Diplomatic courier service that will move the funds out of Iraq as a family treasure. The most important thing is that can we trust you? Once the funds get to you, you take your 20% out and keep our own 80%. Your own part of this deal is to find a safe place where the funds can be sent to. Our own part is sending it to you.If you are interested I will furnish you with more details. But the whole process is simple and we must keep a low profile at all times.

I look forward to your reply and co-operation, and I thank you in advance as I anticipate your co-operation.

Reply to them saying you will help if they send it in Used Italian Lire Notes. It's the quickest way to help you pay off the Mafia and welcome to the family :D

I typed out my email to him as best as I could. You know, perfect English, long words they won't understand.... ;)

Dear Robert,

Thank you very much for your prompt response and interest to my proposal It will be a sure pleasure doing this with you as I trust in the faith that I have in you.This transaction as you may know, must be handled as confidential as possible to avoid any form of scandal from your end or mine.

Do also understand the nature/modalities of this very transaction. The money is sealed as Family valuables and treasures and will be moved out of Iraq via a diplomatic security company (a special handling courier company) to their head quarter where you will be required to lay claims to the consignment as the beneficiary/depositor.


Firstly we require your name, age, contact address and occupation to enable us process the change of ownership while the document Proof of Ownership bearing the required information will be prepared and sent to you as the beneficiary to the consignment with the Security Company.

You will Contact the the Security Company with the document officially laying claims to the consignment of family valuables/treasures. You are required to send your contact address and phone number(S) for documentation/communication/update on transaction.

Do reach me as soon as possible.

Well, the next step is to get them to establish a trust. You have to know for sure that the person you're dealing with is trustworthy, therefore you'll have to slowly lead them in to taking a picture of theirself holding a sign that says "OcUK Rules" or something. Only then will you trust them enough to give them information.

edit: Oh, in uniform, too, since they claim they're a Sergeant.

And your contact information should be a big corporate office. Any random common name is fine. John Smith works well in the US.

Make sure you sign your name as Egon Mann, and asked to be addressed as Mr E Mann. Get him to take a picture of himself holding a sign saying "NO OBYARLY" Explain that Obyarly is a bad person and you are protesting against him or something.

Its early brain is waking up.
 
So, does anyone want to type a decent reply to the above mail, and see what happens? Remember he knows me only as Robert.
 
Definitely need pictures of him, however in my scam baiting it is proving extremely difficult to get pictures these days. I use the email address [email protected] for my baiting and want my name on a sign each time.

Also, to establish the trust, send some pictures of you and the wife (found on google image search of course) witht the request to make it more realistic.
 
i think your end goal should be for him to post you a lock of his hair.

Its one of the only true methods left to guarantee trust.
