Anyone want to split a dedicated game server 50/50?

£35/month = £17.50 each

On that setup we could each host 4 different games with full 32 slots or 8 games with 16 slots etc. etc.

Servers will be completely unbranded and you can install whatever games you want. I'm looking to start some servers before black ops come out but i won't be needing 8 different servers so would be looking to split

You do know that black ops has a exclusive deal with gameservers.com?

ALL black ops servers will be hosted by them
 
Had a little chat with someone called Tim using their live chat service

Mentioned to him that only gameservers.com will be doing servers

He said "I know" then he left quickly
 
So are you saying GTXgaming aren't a legitimate business or just that they're being optimistic by saying coming soon wrt Black Ops? I know nothing of Black Ops but can you not setup a private dedi server independent from the official servers?

I doubt they're a scam.. probably just being a bit hopeful re Black Ops. I wouldn't get a server with them if all you want is Black Ops.

well i'd certainly say false advertising the fact you'll support black ops when you know for a fact you won't is a bit of a scam.

No black ops here but I'm interested as I'm paying over twice their price for a server from Killer Creation. Can't fault KC on the network uptime or support for the one time I've needed it in 9 months when I shut the server down rather than restarting it :o

For all we know there might be something in the works that will mean they can support Black Ops.... As it's not out yet these things could be subject to change.

And it would be fairly unlikely activision would slash such a big deal.
 
it only one server company thats why there so much who har going off no other companies are getting black ops . so avoid ;)
 
It is unlikely a scam.

GTX gaming are not "fly by nights".

It is not unusual for GSP's to advertise games which they "assume" will have Dedicated server support.

I remember Killer Creation advertising COD:MW2 servers this time last year, we all know what happened there.

Did it mean Killer Creation were trying to "scam" anyone? No, infact, they are one of the more reputable GSP's.

They will simply do so to raise awareness within their customer base.

This is considered "acceptable" within the GSP industry and it's customers so I dont see what the problem is.

This is a bit different though.

We know there are Dedi servers. We also know they are exclusive. Only thing I can think is that there will be a "unofficial" server option. e.g Unranked servers etc.
 
Its not really acceptable just some hosts get away with it, the more reputable ones tend to do the research before a game is released and only advertise when they know they can support it.

gameservers.com exclusive gives it away :p also the price is about a tenner a server which is pretty good news
