anyone watching the darts?

Nope, not good enough for that! My trouble is consistency, big time. I'll hit a 140 and follow up with 26/30/31, or something equally as turd. The longer the games go on the worse I get as well, when practicing in the pub with some team-mates, in the first 2 legs I had 2 tons and a 140 and hit both doubles easily, ended up losing 3-2 after being 2-0 up. Second game me and my mate lost 3-0 because I'd totally lost the weight, everything was dropping short so I tried aiming higher and it didn't work out at all. Got too frustrated and played even worse :p

My mate's dad played in the Torquay open last weekend - £150 for 3rd, one of his team-mates came 2nd for £500, winner took £1k, who was another player in our district league.

Super league players average 60-65 minimum, the top players in the league are averaging 90+. I can't do that :p

Well to be fair, the top superleague players are playing county/country and are on the TV for the BDO tournaments so :p

It's not that hard to get into superleague really... but I guess if you aren't pulling the games out in the singles matches and getting noticed in the pub/club division then not going to happen... Thats darts. :(

Sounds to me the way you tell it, you're trying too hard to get the darts you want. Ever thought you're pulling or pushing it then forcing the throw when you're getting frustrated instead of trying to calm yourself down and relaxing when you pitch? getting some rhythm back?

It does change from practice to when you get on the oche for a match... I'm the same, goes pear shaped. :(

Yeah it's a pain. One player round here averaged 116.66 in his Superleague game not long ago. He's seriously good though, his county average is in the high 80's as well.

Talking of it going pear shaped, I mess around with my darts for about 8 hours a week at home and in work. Got to the pub the other night and got beaten by a woman that never plays. Then she went on to beat my mate, we weren't pleased.

To rub it in further, we taught her how to play cards, a game we usually play and she went on to beat us at that then as well.

I have very little man points left. :(

Man points must be in the negative range now surely :p

Won 2-1 on Tuesday, but my god did I struggle with doubles? The other guy was turd, but I was turd..er? Going 1-0 down messed with my head as he really was crap, pegged him back at 1-1 after failing horribly at D2 to take it, we both had 56 left and his dad was stood behind him on my turn saying "go 16, double top.." which I did in 2 darts, turned around and went "like that then mate?".. he wasn't happy :D

Fwiw, my new highest checkout is 139 as well. Never drink when playing but one night I'd had a few and after just missing shots at 133, 134 and 137, I went on to hit 139. Also missed a shot at 152 later on, missed double 16 by a fraction of a cat's nostril hair.
