It's the 1600mhz set I'm considering. I have a set here, with version 3.2 written on them. I'd like the second set to match, but webnotes don't seem to be making progress.

So has anyone on here ordered a set recently, and would be kind enough to tell me what's written on them?

The other options feature dsr or asking corsair, which is not ideal.

Cheers

Hi JonJ

I can't answer your question directly but i have found that they usually respond to the 'pre-sales forum' far more quickly than web notes.

Yewen, helped me out a lot recently, verifying the revison number of a DELL UltraSharp - and even picked and packed my order to guarantee i recieved the correct model/revison.

It's definitely worth a try as i get the impression it's an easier medium for them to use.

Np - I'm guessing you couldn't stand the sight of the 3 empty DIMM slots staring you in the face any longer? ;) (VM, RamDisk fun, C.A.D.?)

Additional: Did the 'cheerful Polish chap' get to machine the 'copper top' that you were after and if he did how has it turned out?

The empty slots are indeed getting to me, as is not having quite enough ram to run two virtual machines smoothly. Wanting to have every socket full is an issue with computers, I once bought a subwoofer purely because my stereo had an empty output for one. It's under my desk angering the neighbours years later, so not such a bad purchase :)

CAD is not presently an issue as I'm on XP. With 3gb sitting idle, which is frustrating. However vista + solid edge is causing issues and I'm not sure now's a good time to move to autocad, I'll see if I have time later this week to get back to 64 bit and see whether I still run out of memory on that...

Unfortunately he/someone he knows broke the cnc. So that is on hold indefinitely, I'll probably still get it once the machinery is behaving itself. However I found an acetal one for a fiver on a different forum and bought that, so I am at least under water. Sitting pretty at 4ghz and wondering when I'll bother to push further. Just downloading a benchmark to see if it's actually any better than my q9550 was, a bit worried it wont be :s
