When the phone is locked there is an irritating blue light that flashes, any way to get rid of it?

Also just thought I'd say. Recieved the phone around the 8th Dec. Took it to Florida, took some pics. I love the screen. I bought a silicone case for it and it makes it a bit bulky. Think I might just buy an OEM case for it once it gets beat up bad instead. I've just got a 1gig card for it and just installed PC Suite.

Any apps you people would suggest for it? I'm on O2 so a bit worried about using the net on it (£1 per 1mb!)

I would like to know if there is a way to get rid of that blue light.

The apps I have installed on my N73 are:

TomTom
AutoLock
Message Storer
NTorch Lite
Taskman
BlackBaller
Call Recorder

People feel free to add anymore as I am always out on the look for good apps

Theres a setting in the menus that allows you to turn off powersave mode which will remove the flashing blue light.

I can't remember it off the top of my head though.

Goto Tools ---> Settings ---> Phone ---> Display and turn sleep mode off. Sleep mode probably does save a good bit of power though as it turns the screen off entirely (hence you get the flashing blue light to let you know the phone is switched on since it isn't apparent otherwise).

TBH I haven't found much decent freeware for the s60 3rd edition phones. I had a 6680 before and it could run so much stuff but the new OS just isn't the same :(

dont tell me that :( orange are sending me a N73 that I have to have for the next 18 months......Mind you the N70 has been ok to be honest.

At the end of the day, all these fancy things the phones do, I only really use it for making calls and texting, the odd photo, thats it.

The phone comes with pretty much all the software needed tbh.

Unless you need something very specific I don't see the point in installing random apps.

I have so far only tried Tom Tom 6 and a few themes.

Meant to mention that, Yeah I use my N70 with tomtom a lot, incredible piece of software. Really usefull, will stick it on my N73 when parcelline decide to arrive.

Ive got the N73, but i managed to lock myself out of it and the PUK2 code 3 gave me doesnt work :'(

Stupid memory :@

But yeah, its a great phone and i love(d) it when i had it working :p

Cant wait to get it repaired and get it up and running again \o/

got it today and been playing with it, stuck tomtom 6 on it and works fine, just a shame i cannot get my favourites from tom tom 5 mobile moved over to tom tom 6

My boss has the same phone on "O2" and he has a blinking blue light, mine dont seem to flash, have orange disabled it or ?????

Orange are doing the N73 again?

Not sure about the blue light with the Orange headsets.

Would be good just to get rid of the flashing light whilst it stays in power saving mode :)

Handy alarm isn't too bad either

More advanced than nokias piece of crap.

I'm having problems trying to open a PDF magazine on my N73. It says there's not enough memory. Am I expecting too much? I know there is a memory leak problem with the N73, has this been fixed in the latest update from Nokia?

That can sometimes happen when theres a program still running, try holding the menu button down and see if there is anything running.

On a simmilar note, does anyone know how to change the function of the joystick i.e. when you press it down it opens the front camera - I want to change this ...
