Anyone with a Q6600 & a Noctua NH-U12P?

Antec 900 and the noctua has two fans on it (push / pull).

I'm at 3420mhz and temps at idle are 36,37,34,35.

AT 100% load after 5 mins are 56,56,54,54.

Thanks Gary,

Thats the kinda temps I was looking for, maybe a little lower but thats still pretty good :D

I'm considering the Antec 1200 and the Noc with push/pull fans so i guess it'll be similar?

[edit] what fans are you using?

The Noctua is pretty good. I have one on my Q6600. Its got 1.5v through it and its very very cool. Cant check the temps as it just runs diskless folding.

Thanks Philly,

I take it your Q6600 is overclocked? What clock are you running it at?

I have narrowed down my choice of coolers to:

TRUE 120
Thermalright IFX-14
Noctua NH-U12P

Im thinking the Noc as everyone that has one normally says that it is solidly built and gives good temps, also I already have a Noc NF-P12 fan for push/pull. Im worried that if i go for the TRUE its a hit'n'miss affair as some are great at cooling and others are sub standard for various reasons & ive been reading on XS that its mounting mechanism is not good, it slides around like a bobsledder  , so didnt want all that hassle.

The stock Noctua and one of THESE

I was very impressed by the Noctua. I have a Tuniq in my gaming PC cooling an E6600 and actually prefer the quality of the noctua. The cooling performance is probably on par. I cant get the Chip past 3.1Ghz stable. I think its the mobo personally. Its a P31 chipset. The PC only has 2gb, Q6600 and mobo. No Vid card hd optical etc as they are not needed. So theres no extra heat from any other components. The exhaust is always lukewarm but never hot. The mounting of the noctua is pretty complex compared to the tuniq as it has quite a few more parts, but its better as you can install the mobo first, and then finish off the install of the heatsink. You actually put all the support brackets in place first, then bolt the heatsink to the support brackets with the screwdriver provided. I was very impressed with the whole package.

I'm running 9x337 / ram @ ddr2-900 (4x1gb corsair).

My temps on idle are: Core1 - 41, Core2 - 41, Core3 - 38, Core4 - 38.
Motherboard temp 32'c -
CPU 28c
PWM 46c
GPU Ambient 39c.
CPU VCore is 1.38 in bios and 1.36 in Everest.
The Cpu fan is running at 960rpm & rear case fan 1620rpm.

Noc. HSU has MX-2 applied to a lapped Q6600 g0 inside an Antec Sonata 3.
