Ive got a massively annoying glitch where since the youtube 60fps update i've been presented with a maximum quality of 480p, with no higher options, on videos that i know come as 1080p60 and 1080p30.

I've seen about 3-4 updates rolling by with no signs of a fix for this yet, anyone else had any luck? I've tried rolling back to previous versions with no luck to be had.

Ok, so i fixed it, for the sake of posterity in case someone else wants to know heres how (it may be a generic fix, but i can only confirm it worked for me)

1. Root device using whatever method google reccomends

2. Install es file explorer from play store

3. In left side pull out menu, at the bottom under tools enable root mode

4. Navigate to /device, system, build.prop, backup this file

5. Use es file explorers editor to change the value "ro.product.model" from SM-T520 (the tab pro's device id) to SM-G900F (the s5's device id), dont know if it works if the new code is from a different brand to the original.

6. Save, reboot, enjoy 60fps youtube working just fine

7. Wonder why on earth google didnt make it work in the first place

Mods; i've no idea if the advice above is allowed, but i'm sure you'll delete it isnt so please accept my apologies if this is the case.
