I'm trying to find out the labour time for a timing belt change for a 2008 Focus 1.6 Ti-VCT.

Also is it recommended to do the water pump on these as a matter of course?

Car has only done 62K but it's over 8 years old now.

I thought the diesels drive the water pump off the aux belt - on the petrol cars it's driven by the timing belt?

I'll get the pump and aux belt done at the same time.

So 3 to 3.5 hrs with a water pump change seems about right. Ford want £469. An Indy should come in under £300, a genuine belt kit and water pump is about £120.

Thanks.
