Anyone with AOL

My old man has there broadband only and it's pretty pants but has been with them for years so its easyer for him to stay with.

I see they do up to 24mb now but as a deal. Just wandering if any AOL users here and how they are finding it

I was with AOL for 4 years, as long as you dont install any of their software on your computer they are as rock solid as any comparable ISP that you can get in that same area.

If you have been with them for a year ring them up and ask for a better deal, they can be really quite flexible with price.

Im in ireland now paying Eircom €65 a month for 7meg and a 50gig cap, coming from 8meg unlimited for a tenner a month with AOL, I miss them days

He's probably on connect atm, which will be poor. "up to 24mb" will be LLU and should be better, certainly not any worse.. in theory. (cheaper for aol to run aswell)

Personally though I wouldn't touch aol with a barge poll after previous experience. What other options does he have?
