Anyone with mohawks?

Indeed, there's no way this stuff could hold up a mohawk, it can't even keep my relatively short hair in place.

The best stuff I've found so far is Joico Spiker.

Your hair is quite short isn't it?

Recently I found and use VO5 Rework Fibre Putty, keeps my hair in pretty much any style I want and it's not exactly short. Work it into your hair and style away, it'll probably flop a little bit, but put it back up and it'll stay, just needs to dry a bit. :)

I don't have any of it down though, but it's about 2.5" - 3.5" long.

Just a bit shorter than yours but a lot thicker. I've tried fibre putty, if you step outside into the wind, it's all over the place within a few seconds.

Like I said, I've yet to find anything as good/firm as Joico Spiker.

Ah, fair enough, mine stays ok in the wind, gets a bit messed around, but then I like it looking messy so don't notice all that much. :p

Or used you as a pitchfork! :p :D
Where'd you think I got the name :D
Many many years ago I had a stage where I basically spiked the hair up so it didn't flare out at the back or front, straight up, my mate turns round "You look like a ****ing pitchfork" my nickname for the entire time i had the hawk.

I use the Fibre Putty, and whilst wind won't do much damage, rain will. It only needs to be humid, and my hawk's will start to fall :(

Will get some Matrix Dirty Trix and some Joico Spiker on payday :)

Couldn't see either of them in Boots, so I'll grab some off eBay..

Yeah, it's only really good for shorter hair/less drastic styles, like mine, wind rain does nothing to my hair really. :)

Either you're not using the red tin or you're doing it wrong...

I used a tiny amount (fingernail sized blob) of red Dax to style my hair yesterday morning, wore a beanie too and from work, slept with loads of pillows and its still strong enough to hold a mawk now. Whenever I've used it to hold spikes or a mawk, I've had to really scrub my hair in the shower to get the hair to go down again.

the thing I don't like about the stuff I currently use is that it's naff at even the thought of rain - surely soap can't be any better during inclement weather?

Real punks carry umbrellas...

But don't say inclement :(

sugar water apparantly

Yep, that is what my mate with a mohawk swears by and his hair was about a foot long last time I saw it. It seems to be a complete pain in the neck half the time though with so many people staring and wanting to touch it - it's only hair that has been stuck up for crying out loud, what do they think it will feel like? :D

Do you heat it up (or hairdry your hair) before applying? This stuff seriously doesn't agree with my hair. It's definitely the red tin stuff.

It's hard to wash out yeah, but I wouldn't care if my hair looked good during the day.

Let me guess. number 1 all over due to receding hair line/rubbish hair?

I'll have you know, I have the most luscious, thick hair you'll ever see. I just like the way it is (as it is, untouched and a mess), I never brush it because it's just too awesome, it doesn't need any of these homosexual additions, half of which are made by mans own love syrup, so I've heard. I know why people do all these things to make themselves feel a bit better and all that, but I just think it's pointless, hair to me is meant to flourish, and if its getting a bit too much, cut it so a length you're happy with. I'd rather have that extra x ammount of minutes others would spend on their hair, lying in bed, moaning to myself I've got to get up for work.

Each to they're own though. :p

Had this last boxing day for fancy dress, was nice but everyone would look at you and I am not really an attention seeker.
