Anyone work for a Cisco reseller?

What sort of thing are you looking at? I can probably give you dollar list on some of the stuff, Cisco pricing is VERY dependent on who you are and which sector you work for.

Basically this. Ask your account manager, if you are big enough to warrant (afford) Nexus kit than your partner account manager should be able to get quotes to you reasonably quickly...

What kind of discount can a charity get? We're looking at Cisco wireless kit at the moment.

^This pretty much... we're on 40 odd%, plus if you're doing a big project maybe some extra discount buy-back etc....

Probably pretty good, but bear in mind that it also depends on who you are buying from. Gold partners get access to the better discounts, whereas Bodgit & Run ltd will get jack all and charge you close to list.

56% on my last project :D (it was £2.6m worth at list price though  )

Bear in mind time of year, always best to buy big from Cisco in July as it's their end of year and can get you a further 6% off. You'll get sector discount (around 40-50% for public sector), then you can get 6% for end of year, then a further up to 6% for 'buy-back' of old kit (doesnt have to be the kit you are replacing, so make sure you keep hold of those old cisco switches!!).

Then you'll also have their 'special' offers, they are doing bundles on Nexus at the moment, Nexus 7010 bundles, 5548 bundles as they are trying to push these for datacentres rather than the Catalyst 6509E's. They've just released the Superviser 2T's today for purchase and delivery in July which make the 6509E's a very attractive proposition against the Nexus range.

Sorry should have replied :D

Got in touch with a mate their in the end - don't want Cisco partners hassling us for business yet when we are roadmapping - apparently we are eligible for 61% off RRP though :D

I work for an enterprise partner for Cisco, HP and Dell and can obtain massive discount from list price on all those lines.

If anyone ever wants pricing, drop me an email [email protected] more than happy to provide any pricing or help with queries.
