Want a estimate for a job but 9 online printers that I emailed yesterday have failed to get back to me yet and I'm desperate for some figures! Don't people want work these days?

If you work for a printer and do calendars, let me know please.

What do you need?

OK, here's 'roughly' what I'm after, subject to small changes but not much:

1000 A4 Glossy calendars (don't know the 'good' gsm weights)
14 or 16 pages inside, single sided.
A price for spriral bound, stapled and glued.
Full colour (shouldn't be an issue if it's digital print).
ALL layout will be supplied by my good self in whatever format I can help to make your life easier (and cheaper!)

A rough idea on how much it would cost for additional runs of 500 throughout 2009.

A rough idea of completion, if for example I gave all artwork by June 1st.

If there's anything I've forgot that's needed, let me know.

Might be too late and I don't like bigging up my company, but use this:

www.freeprintmanagement.com

Very good service and instant online prices. We have just revolutionised the print marketplace with this project!

Use the contact number on there and speak with a print consultant 8.30am - 5.30pm. Can print anything and have no presses to worry about, we just do the hardwork for you ;)

From the cursory trial I've just given it, that looks pretty nifty :)

For a marketplace that is extremely boring, I must say it has certainly startled something! You have to understand how long it takes to get prices in the print trade to understand how good this tool is. Especially over hundreds of different products, quantities etc.

It is based on live capacity so prices are always up to date and has the best suppliers involved, but doesn't lock you into using us... you can use your own suppliers and purely use the management tools.

:)

Oh, I understand alright! It's just one of the reasons why I like this idea, and will be giving it a closer look tomorrow, when my company's paying me for it :D

I presume you place print for your company? or is this just a one off thing? :)
I'm an in-house designer for a web marketing company, so there's not much call for print around here, usually. However, my latest project does involve some print work, hence the interest. Not Tesco levels of quantity, by any stretch, but more than the usual stationery.

Plus: given our sales staff turnaround, any place that can instantly give me prices on business cards is in the running :D

Sounds good to me, give it a shot. All feedback is welcomed on the site and considered for implementation. We can do pretty much everything, even if it isn't on the site.. (pens, t-shirts, etc)
