Hi all,
I have recently been for an interview with Tempest just for the sake of having it, however, with my experience and background they have near enough confirmed the job is mine which I really wasn't expecting.
Now, I knew it was going to be pretty poor pay wise but it's actually terrible.
Salary if £5k a year paid equally over the 12 months and work is only term time. So you get 13-14 weeks off a year.
That's £416 a day. You get a weeks training with some top training center down south, they lease you car to go down and will give you a company car (Peugeot estate) to come back with. They give you a Nikon system + backgrounds and a printer to use while you work for them. You can use the camera gear and car for none work purposes. They mentioned it was a D300 and you don't pay tax on the car until you earn £8k which I imagine would make a massive dent in my money.
You get commission paid at the end of the year but they couldn't tell me what that could be like. You get mileage paid but couldn't tell me at what rate it is paid.
A google doesn't bring up a lot of information and what you can find is old.
So, does anyone here worked for, has worked for or knows someone who has worked for them and what kind of money you can expect at the end of each year?
They did say if you work well the money does go up if the commission is coming in but max they pay as salary is £13 a year. My other bits could top this up but it could take several years to get to that level and I can't afford to live off £416 a month (of which I'd have expenses to pay until you can claim them).
If the commission is worth it I might be tempted and working term time is ideal with kids but it's obviously sending warning bells off.
