Anyother Work Needed to Bluetooth My Laptop?

I use a non-Bluetooth Laptop, whose keyboard has been torturing me as my fingers are fat. Thus I wanna add a Bluetooth keyboard to my stuff, and the first thing is to Bluetooth the laptop. I've found a USB-Bluetooth adapter(spammy link), but I wonder if the adaptation just need plugging in the gadget or more works have to be done. I will be grateful for any suggestion.

BT plugged in laptop USB port - install dongle - pair with keyboard. Job done

Or save a load of money and just use a USB keyboard.

If you buy a Bluetooth Keyboard, it will likely come with the USB Bluetooth attachment.
