So my 2008 Macbook Alibody battery is finally starting to age. Now only getting 2 hours out of it. I'd quite like it to last a bit more for a flight coming up in a few weeks.

Official Apple one is £109 whereas a 3rd party one is £30-£50

Anything against the 3rd party ones? :) Obviously I'm not bothered about warranty!

I've had a genuine Apple battery expand and deform the case. So perhaps I may worry a little more about non-OEM batteries. :D

To be fair if you bought an apple battery and it exploded to deform the case I'd be surprised if the unit wasn't replaced.
