I've just played for 15mins with a friend in war of the roses, so i would like to upload our playthrough on youtube but the file size i want using windows movie maker 720p is going to take far far to long at it's current file size. Anything better?

980 kbps

What a **** upload rate :(..

Will need to ditch my mic as well and go usb as it has too much background hiss

hmm nice to be able to use the internet with vegas, when uploading with movie maker the internet stalls with everything other than the upload

Just uploaded it..

No sound <--- :(, didn't work and with normal quality, with HIGH quality it was going to be 1321mb

sigh

With movie maker I rip the movie to HDD first, check the size and sound and then upload it.

Though I hate afterburners default setting at 75% compression, its ruined a few videos for me at anything under 90%.

Thought you would have known what software is available Neil from the threads you post in and the numerous editing recommendation threads that appear on a regular basis, but Vegas is one of the best, Movie Maker is awful.

I have used used many software programs like vages and I settled on TMPgenc video mastering works I found it simple to use with the control of the bits I wanted like bitrates and stuff but try before you buy ;)
On vages I got annoyed with it crashing when editing but it could just it doesn't like fraps videos

use fraps record then use wmm or sony vegas

never just upload project from that program while doing it save to hd first then check project obviously before uploading

There is only so much knowledge a guy has :p, I can play the game but not create one for example :D

Cheers all!

Bit of an issue, need some advice..

I used vegas pro, my movie came out in great quality at only 300mb 720P however when i chose to upload it via segas pro i either have a choice of LOW 65mb or HIGH 1024mb, why not the version i rendered?.

Not really a solution, but if you have the video in the correct format now thanks to Vegas can you not just upload direct to youtube from the site now?

Yeh was just wondering if there was something i did wrong or another way of doing it in vegas... I did however make one error, added in a track for text, rendered as and it wiped out the video and left the sound and text in :(

If you find movie maker easy to use to add the effects/text/clipping you want then just do that and save it as high quality. Then use Handbrake to re-encode it into a decent format for online video.
