Last xmas I bought a 2006 diary for the gf and set about writing a reason I loved her for each day or a quote or memory of us that made me smile. I started adding to it in early november and had half filled it by xmas, with the idea being I would add it to it through the year so it was full for the following xmas. Took me ages and also brought me substantial (mostly well meant!) abuse at work as I was doing it at my desk at lunch quite often.
Other than that, I'd say trying to teach myself how to draw properly so I could add a hand-drawn picture of the same gf to a going away book I made when she went to America. Sadly my lack of artistic talent shone through and my efforts didnt really do her justice but it was still pretty cool I thought.
Have done loads of small random things too and that's one of the best parts about being in love, it gives you freedom to do these mad acts and get away with them!
