we have currently got sse power distribution outside our flat with a mobile generator and a digger being used.

this is obviously creating a lot of noise, what makes it worse is that its very hot but having the window open means the noise is even louder. needless to say me and the gf cant sleep.

anything we can do about this?

the thing is its not the 1st time they have done this. easter weekend they were down here doing something. and quite often i have seen a sse van in our car park.

Offer them a cup of tea, and whilst they're inside drinking it pour petrol or washing up liquid into the generator, that should stop them for the night.

at what times of the day/night is it on. surely not 24hrs....theres laws against that i cant remember though. I'd be going ape*** at the council.

I remember that during the sumer of 2006, which was really hot, network rail would do track work outside my friends house every night from 2am to 5am. We would be lying in bed trying to sleep and with the window open all we could hear was drilling and swearing and with it closed its too hot to sleep.

We looked into it but apparently theres nothing that can really be done.
