Right, this is a £650 build for a friend, including monitor, external HDD and mouse. He wants to use the PC for photo editing and recording, hence the 8GB RAM and soundcard. He already has an OS. Some parts are from OCuk, some aren't. Just want to run it past you guys to check I haven't been stupid and forgotten some vital component, or an identical component can be found for half the price :o
AMD x6 1055T @ 113.99
Asus Xonar DG 5.1 @ 20.99
LG GH22NS50 DVD Drive @ 14.99
WD Elements 1TB external hdd @ 51.06
Logitech MX518 @ 21.99
Hitachi Coolspin 2TB @ 54.72
MSI 760GM-E51 motherboard @ 33.99
8GB Mushkin silverline 8GB @ 49.99
23.6" Generic monitor @ 90.79
Corsaid 600CX @ 41.99
Coolermaster elite 430 @ 26.99
sapphire radeon 5670 @ 46.50

Thanks in advance guys :thumb:

If your friend doesn't do any gaming then you don't need the graphics card. Just use the video output from the motherboard.

A Hitachi Coolspin isn't likely to be the fastest boot drive in the world. Good price for 2TB though.

Thanks :) I decided to add the GPU as he may start doing some light gaming and rendering; so I thought better safe than sorry really. As far as HDD speed goes, I realise its a bit slow, but as the PC will run 24/7 and hes used to a dell with a celeron I dont anticipate it being a major issue.

I don't know how tight the budget is, but for photo editing he'll probably want better than a generic monitor. Obviously can't stretch to an IPS panel on the budget above (it would take most of the budget alone) but maybe one of the two below. The BenQ is smaller but closer to your price point, the Iiyama is closer to the size you want but more expensive.

BenQ G2222HDL 21.5" Widescreen LED Monitor - Black £120

Iiyama ProLite E2410HDSD 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Black £150
Sorry, should have mentioned he already has a SIPS monitor, the one with this rig is just going to be a secondary for browsing/music/msn so I didnt think it was worth getting a fancy one.
