Anything like Bomberman on PC

A little random but as in thread title, looking for either Bomberman or something really similar on PC that can be played multiplayer across two machines.

Played it loads in the nineties

Bombing *******s (bar stewards) is supposed to be the best bomberman clone on Steam, I've heard it said.

Not sure about how the multiplayer works, though

I checked out the Steam store page for this and thought it looked a bit naff - more like the later console generations of the game rather than the versions I loved (of the SNES era). Cheers for the recommendation though. I'm not sure why but I just find the 3d art and the voices a massive turn-off.

There is a huge continuous online running, name escapes me but a Google search should find it. It's good.
