Anything newer/better than AutoGK?

I'm editing and then converting DVR-MS files from my Media Centre. I've always used AutoGK, but I recently reinstalled and when I was going to put AutoGK on, I realised that the latest version is now three years old. Is there anything better I should be considering, or is AutoGK still the daddy?

You could try HandBrake.......

But I personally like AutoGK better.......

There are some recent beta versions of AutoGK you could try if you wanted something newer.

Don't know if it will do what you want, but MediaCoder is pretty good.

Is Handbrake like Staxrip?

I used to use GK (not Auto) and R4R, and then got into staxrip, but now I yearn for something a little more tweakable, like GK - but it hasn't been updated in years :/
