Anything to configure in the BIOS between the first boot and installing the OS?

Hi guys, slightly noobish question but I am rusty! I've built myself a Core 2 Duo (E2220 2.4Ghz, , Corsair 6400 2Gb, Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L).

When I went into the BIOS I noticed that the multiplier had been set to 7 so it was running at 1.4Ghz. I can set it as high as 11 (the last option the BIOS gives me) which is 2.2Ghz which is 200Mhz short of what it should be running at.

Am I missing any other configuration steps?

Edit: I just noticed that the E2220 is only supported in the F8a firmware of the motherboard, I bet when I go home and check I don't have that version. Regardless, is there anything else I should set before installing the OS?

Not really. If you want to install on a RAID array you'll have to set that up. As it is, you should install your OS then flash the BIOS to the latest version.

Well I went back to the BIOS to check the version and guess what? [Competitor] sent me a E2200 not an E2220

You may still have the correct CPU, youve said yourself you dont have the correct BIOS.

Flash to the latest BIOS and see what it says then as it may not be detected correctly
