You got a dedicated sound card? Or a good gaming surface?

If you game a lot and want an ugrade I would get a Razer Blackwidow.

I think it's gonna be a peripheral or sound card tbh....

You COULD get another 4GB ram but completely unnecessary I would imagine.

I got a razer Deathadder would it be a nice stepup?
Also the mat i got is the razer exactmat.
Soundcard i dont need as my headphones do a brilliant job already with the asus soundcard that the motherboard came with.

More ram? Interesting ive never thought of that. I know very little about ram, would 4gb more be used in games?

If i was to upgrade my ram i would take out my old memory and replace it with this:

I used to have a 4gb set-up for ram until 2 of my ram sticks failed and started to give me bsods. But when I did have 4gb I would use 75% of it while rendering a video so I guess it's you call. If you do lots of ram heavy things.

I think probably not but I'm not that much of an experienced when it comes to monitoring ram usage so wait for the reply of others

No can't say gaming would be affected in the slightest.

I've got the Deathadder and the eXactmat also.

I've just ordered the Puretrak Talent gaming mat - read good things about it. But it's only available ine the US from what I could see so I got it off that internet selling site...£13 incl delivery.

You'd be surprised what a difference a dedicated soundcard can make.

I'd say:

Blackwidow

Dedi Sound card

Mouse mat

That's it really.

More monitors? Eye-finity ? :D:D

If you cant, then add another 5970 when it comes out? How much memory does it have? Who told you that you wouldnt be able to run it, some Intel/nvidia fan boy?

You could swap over to a sandy bridge build, or er, what others said. That might net yuo some FPS gains, reviews on an I5 to an I52500k gained quite a lot in some games.

While games dont themselves use all my ram, while gaming i often see mine up at 65-85% usage, with a few tabs etc open in firefox in the background. It just means theres more for windows to use for its things, while leaving ~6gb free (right now im on exactly 25%used and only have firefox/steam etc running). But you wont notice more than ~1-3% increase in FPS in gaming, other things make use of it though.

Nononono, Quadfire is atrocious, especially when combined with a Phenom II X4.

If you do see it lagging slightly, best course of action would be a HD5870 for Tri-fire.

I suppose you could try clocking your 965 further. And at that resolution I would have thought the 5970 is fine. I guess you could always add a 5870 for trifire OR sell the 5970 and get a couple of 580s (or the upcoming 6990).

Whoever told you that your system is not good enough, are just plain jealous :p.
