Been trying a new router see i was hoping that the SNR would have been less by now to squeeze a bit more speed from my line
Old router was a dg834GT attenuation was 60db and synch was about 2272 but with the snr @1% this router has synch @2272 with snr untweaked @100%

high snr is good , low attenuation is good ? thats what thought anyway

my line sync @ 6304
-------------------- down up
SNR Margin 9.4 28.0 dB
Line Attenuation 31.6 19.0 dB

Why is your downstream speed fixed at 2Mbps? You have a long line but you could probably get a bit more.

Not fixed mate, this just happens to be what it synced at when i swapped from one router to the other. With my dg834 gt i was syncing anywhere up to 2848 ish(this was last year though) since then it has been all over the shop(mostly it was around 2000 synch, giving me a ip profile of 1800 ish)
I am on a long line nearly 3miles from the exchange
With tis 2 wire router i get a slightly better attn downstream of 59 compared to the gt at 60.
I was hoping that with a stable connection for 14 days i would get the 15 db snr lowered so that i may get a higher synch, but as of yet no change :(
