Hi all, i was looking at buying a Hyundai ImageQuest N91W 19" Widescreen LCD Monitor for £182 from ocuk.

At the moment i have a 17" CRT and would like 1)the extra room on my desk and 2) a bigger monitor. I use it for gaming and windows use.

I have found a 19" widescreen for 19" Daewoo W9ZQ Widescreen for a lot cheaper and was thinking of buying that instead.

The spec seems to be pritty much the same as the Hyundai. I kust wanted some clarrification that the cheaper Daewoo will be as good for what i want it for as the Hyundai will be.

Spec is...

Manufacturer: Daewoo

Type: TFT

Screen Size: 19"

Pitch Size: 0.294

Input: 1 x Audio Line-In
1 x D-Sub
1 x DVI

TV Tuner:

Resolution: 1440x900

Viewing Angle: 90/90 (°H/°V)

Contrast Ratio: 850:1

Speakers:

Response Time: 5 ms

Brightness: 300 cd/m2

Power Usage (Switched on): 50 W

Widescreen:

Monitor Colour: Black

Dimensions (with stand): 445 x 360 x 210 mm (WxHxD)

that model will vary a little from the Hyundai since it is using a different panel from a different manufacturer. The Daewoo is using a Chi Mei Optoelectronics (CMO) TN Film panel, whereas the Hyundai is using a panel from Samsung. At the end of the day, it would probably be hard to tell any real difference in performance between the two. Only things you might want to consider is that build quality is likely to be superior on the Hyundai, and i'm not sure whether Daewoo's post sales support is any good either. Apart from that, seems ok, and offers the same kind of features as the Hyundai anyway
