An old i3 530 @ 4.2GHZ (21x200) with Kingston Hyper X Genesis Grey 8GB memory.

Temps are from running Windows Experience Index..

70c from running WEI, I'd expect 15-20c higher than that from prime/IBT tbh. Even a CPU intensive game may push the temps upwards of 10c from that.

Running Prime95, will post back with peak temps. What's an acceptable peak temperature in your opinion?

Depends on the TJMax of the chip, can't find anything solid for it (realtemp should tell you) but I suspect it to be around the 100c mark, so ideally you want to be below 80c.

I can't get back to 4.2GHZ!!

21x200MHZ @ 1.35VCore won't boot...which is EXACTLY the same set-up I had before. It now won't boot and I have to reset CMOS or it'll boot and say an overclock failed and revert to default (2.93GHZ).

Rolled back to 3.2GHZ - 20x160MHZ @ stock voltage for now..

Any ideas why this would stop working all of a sudden? Been @ 4.2GHZ for about 2 years, I just wanted to check the above because the QPI Link looked a bit high...very confusing.
