Anything wrong with using those Xbox Live codes from auctions?

I've got one and a few others on here have, with no probs so far.
Although I know one person on here has had his Live account suspended because of it.

On the whole the odds of getting caught out is pretty slim.

I got two of them a couple of weeks ago, emailed me the code within about half an hour!

Great service and worked fine, it was the 13 month one too.

When I first got my Xbox I had nothing but problems buying off ebay. I never got the codes and ended up filing a complaint. Ebay eventually refunded me. I then bought from another seller and it went great. This year I just paid the full price through XBL as I couldn't be bothered with the whole ebay thing again for the sake of £10.

You can get them for £26.99, or £28.99 and it's 12 months! Just buy of a seller with plenty of recent rep.

If you keep an eye out you can buy them from Shops for that price. I got one of the Halo 13 months things from a competitor just before Christmas for £27 using a £5 off voucher that was going around.

I bought my live code and plenty of my mates did from that auction site you mention, also MS points with no problems. You can't be "caught out" as its perfectly above board.

just make sure you are buying a european code as the codes now have region restrictions on them.

ive got a couple of 12 months cards from auction sites and havent had any issue using them.

Sorry but it is not "perfectly above board" most of the eBay sellers sell codes generated with a Key-Gen.

Someone on this forum was caught out and had his live account cancelled because he bought a code from Ebay and it turned out it was generated with a key-gen. So be careful.

I've used eBay codes for the last two years and haven't experienced any problems so far. The last one I bought was a 12+1 code from eBay seller scrable76, who has an excellent high feedback.

Oh man,

I bought one of these 12+1 month codes last night ad I got a code e-mailed this morning.

It was 28.99 exactly and the buyer name was "boxeddeal_inc" His was the only one that said it would work for PAL regions so I bought it!

Sod it: This is their ebay store, this does not break any rules as I have checked and they do not currently sell a single item that OcUK do.

Anyone get theirs from this guy? (As yet I have not inputted the code into my console so would like to check first if anyone know if this company is a skank).

Don't care too much if I have been ripped off, as long as I can keep my Gamertag etc. The money lost is no big deal, just feel kinda foolish if I have been ripped off.
