hi,

in my enthusiasm to get shot of my nokia 6230 and sell it on a popular auction site I forgot to erase it's phone book etc. I only realised this AFTER i'd cut the sim card up!

as it's locked to orange i can't use my t-mobile sim (it asks for an unlock code) to get into the phone and erase the memory.

is there a way to do this without going into my local orange store and asking them to erase it for me?

thankyou

You could perhaps try a hard reset (not sure if this is possible without the sim). Try this:

Below are some reset codes for various Series 40, 60 and the new Series 80 Communicator series (Nokia 9300/9500):

Full Reset: (clears everything off the phone memory!! Be sure to back up your contacts!!): *#7370#, 12345 and then Yes.

Do you have any friends or relatives on Orange?

Or just pop into the Orange shop if what posted above (Sanchez post) does not work and buy a sim for £1 :D
