Anyway of having different res for different users? (win xp)

Hi,

Well on the family pc both my brother and I like to have 1280x1024, whereas my parents like to have 1024x768. So how do I set it so we can have different resolutions when we log in?

Nope. But Vista will support it.

Damn, stuck at 1024x768 on a 19" tft for the blind.

Is this because they find the text too small to read at the proper resolution? You could try setting their account to 1280x1024 and changing the fonts to 'large fonts' in display properties. Or alternatively, send them to the opticians?

and place a shortcut in your startup folder for each user with your preferred screen size.

rather an oddity from microsoft this one, being as though windows 98 supported user specific resolutions.

Nah opticians not needed, just they dont like the small icons and text, whereas i do. I will have a go with that software linked first i think.
