Anyway to find out who owns a car from registration?

I owned a Nova GTE when i was 18, my first car (my own car), I recently stuck the reg details into we buy any car and I can see that despite it being 21 years old, its still knocking around.

Id like to see if i cant buy it back and restore it. Is there any way to find out a) if it actually does still exist and b) who would have it?

For the record the reg was F772 POY.

How does WBAC tell you it is still on the road and not in the scrapyard? They and other sites just have a record of what it was when you enter the number in.

Last taxed in 2006 and not currently SORN.... my guess is it's in the bin.

2006? :O I'd have thought a 1.6 Vauxhall Nova would have been a pressure cooker for 5 chavs as it flew backwards through a central reservation by the mid 1990's personally, I'm surprised.

Cheers Lopez, I appreciate that, I guess it probably would be, had a bit of hope when it showed up on WBAC.
