Anyway to get portable .net 4.0?

I'm trying to run a portable app that requires .net 4.0 but the PC that I am on does not have this installed... Is there anyway to get a portable version that resides on my USB pen?

a portable app made with .net 4.0 as a requirement? hardly any machines will have that installed by default.

and no, i'm pretty sure it isn't possible.
