Anyway to get the data off a broken pen drive?

Is it possible?....

When I put the pen drive in, the light doesn't come on.

Is there a specialist I can take it to, to get the data off...if so how much do they usually charge?

depends entirely whats wrong with it mate.
its PROBABLY just the usb contacts breaking off the PCB. you ought to be able to get access by plugging it in and gently (but firmly!) bending the pen, in order for the pins to contact the pads.
