Anyway to limit the speed on a Mini Atv

Hey

Just bought my son a mini atv Hes only 5 and im wanting to limit the speed of it untill he gets used to it. Its a twist throttle not a thumb throttle model. is there a way to do this? I dont mind having to buy stuff in order to achieve what i need.

Any help/advice would be awesome.

Iv ordered a cut off cable that i can tie to him so if he falls off it will cut engine.. Ill have a play with the cable later thanks for that..

It does have a screw in the throttle housing that can be moved to 3 different possitions. I did move it across one yest but it didnt seem to make much differance. Ill look into it abit more. The quad is second hand so maybe its just a case of something missing that restricts it. It is abit tatty lol
