Anyway to optimize physx?

I ask this question because I have been trying to work out why I have low gpu usage in Batman ac. I have noticed that the frame rate is the same whether using sli or not.

Both gpu's on use approx 55% and the bench says min 43 and average 80 fps with physx on high. That's the same as result using just one gpu.

I then turn off physx and the gpu usage on both cards goes into the 90's and the frames are 84 min and 180 average.

Battlefield 3 also has it's quirks, giving a similar result when using one or two cards.

Is this normal behavior?

Is my 2500k @ 4.5 to blame?

Never played the game so have to ask, does it support sli? sounds like a dumb question but your symptoms do sound exactly the same as the people who had "sli issues" with WoW back when it didn't support sli.

I've spent ages messing around with Batman AC, and it does support SLI. I came to the conclusion months ago that the game is just a mess. End of story. A pity, because it's great, but I could never play it properly as I was constantly messing with settings - dx11 or not, physx, SLI etc etc.

Thanks for responding. I won't waste anymore time with it.

How about Battlefield 3 if you have it?

What's the minimum fps you get on large servers and maps with that 2600k?

Use one 670 for rendering, the other for PhysX on BAC?

As above, it doesn't run very well on DX11 really but runs much better on DX9.

Wasn't there a patch that fixed the DX11?
When I ran a GTX680 on it, Batman was all over the place.
On the 7970 it's more stable due to not using hardware accelerated Physics/PhysX.

It doesn't work. Every combination results in the same outcome whether using dx11 or not.

I thought that maybe someone knows some tricks with programs like inspector or something.

Never mind, thanks for the help anyway. :)

You should be seeing around 120fps with SLI 670's. Something not right.

Edit:

Do you have the game patched up? The early pre patch was broken and required a couple of patches to get it working correctly?

In dx11?? Problem is the constant stutters and hitching. In dx9 it's very playable, but I just got annoyed with over messing about and gave up.

Tell me more about the patching Greg. I thought I'd patched up as much as I could, but the other problem is the games for windows system. Its terrible. How do you manually check its the latest best patch and update as necessary?
