Anyway to recover data?

Earlier this afternoon my computer crashed and wouldn't boot up again, just stuck at POST.

I had two physical drives in there and when I try them in another system Windows says that neither one is formatted.
I find it hard to believe that this could have toasted both of my drives

chkdsk simply reports than the drives may have one or more unrecoverable errors.

I've got most of the data backed up, but there is some stuff that isn't so don't really just want to format them if I can help it.

So, any suggestions for other things I can try?

I've just been using TestDisk and it seems that I can access the data through this and backup.
Should be able to get it all back
