Anyway to watch 28 days later without it looking terrible?

Got the blu ray it's bad, got the dvd it's bad.

Tried on two telltale a oled and a plasma. Not got a crt.

It was meant to be poor quality at mastering. Doubt there are any "better" ways to watch it than DVD tbh

It was filmed on a Canon XL1 which has a resolution of 512x492.

So what you're seeing is how it was recorded.

Interesting, I always thought it looks decent I must watch it again on blu ray.

It wasn't meant to be poor, it's just they wanted to film certain scenes quickly and digital cameras were in their infancy then.

It was a fairly low budget movie really.

Was about to say the same thing. It was shot deliberately like that to set the atmosphere and tension. Worked well imo.

Great film. I hadn’t realised it was shot like that. Recently went to rewatch it after recording it on satellite TV. Thought it was my box and I’d recorded in SD.
