Anyways to better optimise this setup?

Hi. This is my watercooled setup, i would just like some help with better optimising the setup, if that means changing rads/fans and blocks i will.

I'm not particularly happy with the noise/heat relation. Currently running my Scythe 1850s @1200rpm (60%) and the temps on my two 7970s are peaking between 54-60c. I know the temperatures have been quite hot lately...but...

Setup:

[email protected]
2x7970s @1050/1450.
Z77 UD5H

60mm 120.3 EK CoolStream
60mm 120.2 EK CoolStream
Aquacomputer Pro.
XSPC Dualbay+D5 res.

Fullcover GPU blocks.
7/16 hose with compressions.

My first thought would be to flip the back fan, but as it's not dust filtered i didn't want to. Any and all suggestions welcomed and considered, thanks.

Also, as a side note, if anyone has any better colour options...yes please.

What are all your temps like and whats the ambient temperature? 54-60°C is pretty good under full load for 7970's

I doubt that reversing the flow of the front radiator will make any difference to the overall temps. You would probably get more mileage out of pushing the air through the radiators or getting a couple of extra fans for the top radiator to setup a push/pull.

Whats the flow like in your loop? Is there plenty of turbulence in the res?

Your pushing hot air into your case from the front rad onto the components that get the hottest.

switch the fans around to blow hot air out the case and as you say grab a fan filter ( http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CM-000-OE&tool=3) and blow cool air in.

I've ordered that dust filter, looks pretty good being magnetic.

The ambient when the temps got that high were 33c....so bloody hot, normal ambient is about 23c and the temps are around 48-52.

The flow? Not too sure what you mean, but my D5 is set to "5" setting.
I cant add any fans to "push" on my top rad due to clearance on the drivebays - the Switch810 has a metal bracket =(

Turn your rear fan round to blow cool air into your top rad. Did this recently and dropped my temps a few degrees.

You also could swap the fans around on your top rad so that they push through the rad not pull air through.

Then you'd still need to swap your fans on the front rad, as your better off pumping the hot air out of the case.

Also with all the air getting sucked out you'd only need filters on some case fans supplying cool air in.
