I have just connected my nephews pc to his brothers using the same kit as i use. Only his does not work the same.
I am using the netgear fast ethernet switch (5 port) (same as mine, and both his puters have netgear NIC's fitted and working. Both computers can see each other and share files between them both. However, when I try to get the second puter connected to the net, it fails to connect and shows "web page cannot be displayed, Detect newtwork settings" bla bla bla,
The settings under "Connection/lan settings" have been set but it still cannot get on the net. I have checked it against my set up and it is the same, but his second puter will not connect to the net, but the first (main one) does.
Any ideas please?
