Just spotted this over at tftcentral - thanks @Baddass

AOC AG352UCG6 Black Edition
  • 3440 x 1440 and 120Hz Refresh Rate
  • VA panel
  • GSync
Nice to have another 35" UW with gsync available in may hopefully and will be interested to see what price this retails at given it's AOC.

Looks good for "only" £750. This seriously undercuts the Alienware and expected price for the upcoming LG 34GK950G.

I've been holding out for the LG to launch, but a £300 saving will be hard to ignore even if the LG is marginally better.

How are the AOC monitors are they any good.

They've got a reasonable reputation and agree with @Stu that they're comparable to Acer and Asus.
They're particularly good in that they usually put out equivalently specc'ed monitors at lower price points than the competition.
Added benefit in my opinion is that there gaming brand stuff isn't quite as garish as the competitions either!

I've been looking at this for a little while now, seems very good value compared to the alternatives of this or similar spec. I'd not really heard of the original version but I've seen that on some very tempting deals recently as it's eol.

Doesn't seem so abysmal tbh, unless you are a cs pro..etc and just go with medium overdrive it doesnt seem so much of an issue.

Setting overdrive incorrectly is always going to result in ghosting... as the reviewer says, it is much improved at medium setting, and very much acceptable.
acceptable to you maybe but I cannot stand it. If you are advertising a capability to run at a certain Hz then all the pixel transitions should be able to hit that without lagging behind. This is simply not the case with most of these VA panels. They are excellent for everything else but dark transitions.

Just FYI, this uses the same panel and is tuned in a similar way to the original AG352UCG. It just has the addition of an overclock to 120Hz vs. 100Hz. So check out reviews (such as my own) of the older model and you'll get a good idea of what to expect.

So it doesn't use the same panel as the Alienware AW3418DW?
