Thats funny considering Ive had a U2414h and a P2414h along with my U2412M and a LG IPS277L
 
There seem to be gross generalisations going on here. Any monitor can suffer from uniformity issues. I've reviewed many IPS-type models where white uniformity is poor. There does seem to be a higher than average chance of the PG279Q or XB271HU suffering from poor white uniformity than average, but it's still not the case that they will automatically be worse than 'other IPS-type models'.
