AOC Agon AG352UCG6 Black Edition HDMI Query

Quick one that i think I already know the answer to - I have my ps5 plugged into this monitors HDMI port. Resolution set to 1080p, some games (Destiny 2) support 120hz refresh rates and the monitor is 120hz through displayport on my PC. It will only do 1080p 60 on the ps5 though, not 1080p 120.

I presume this is a limitation of the monitor and/or HDMI 1.4 spec?

I'd imagine a limitation of the HDMI 1.4 spec. The limitations are on the specification section of that link you posted. Even though you are running at 1080p the cable signal will still be 3440 x 1440 so subject to the same limitations. I had a similar issue running 1080p on a HDMI 1.4 4K screen and it being limited to 30hz same as 2160p.

HDMI 1.4: 3440 x 1440 @ 50Hz
DP 1.2 : 3440 x 1440 @ 120Hz
